I savored this, my first motif and then pattern, a marriage of my own imagination
and so many seed and pod-like forms I had seen and admired. Within every seed case
lies the potential for a new fruit, a flower, another beautiful thing yet to be
seen. The structure itself protects and nurtures that potential until it is ready
to stand on its own and grow. Sometimes ideas, like seeds, must also be nurtured.
